Meet Our Specialists
Dr. Becky Jno-Baptiste
Dr. Becky L. Jno-Baptiste is a native of Dominica. She grew up on the West coast of the island. She attended medical school at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus and graduated in 2002 with the MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery) degree. She then returned to Dominica where she did her internship. She also worked as a house officer in Internal Medicine for eighteen months before heading to Jamaica to pursue her passion which was Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. She worked and studied as a resident in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care for five years at the University Hospital of the West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. Upon obtaining her Doctor of Medicine (DM) in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, she returned to Dominica to serve her people.
She moved to St. Lucia in 2012. She served as the head of Intensive Care from 2013-2019 at Victoria and Owen King European Union Hospitals. Dr. Jno-Baptiste managed critically ill COVID-19 patients during the pandemic.
She returned home in 2022. She is currently the head of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at the Dominica China Friendship Hospital and co-owner of AnesCare Medical Services. She is passionate about a safe peri-operative period for all patients as well as managing chronic pain.
Dr. Jno-Baptiste believes strongly in the conservation of Dominican culture and the environment.
Dr. Hildrich Alexander
Dr. Hildrich Alexander MBBS, MD Anesthesiologist
Dr. Hildrich Alexander grew up in the small community of Montin Tete Morne. He attended the Grand Bay secondary school and later the DSC. He worked as a teacher for 4 years before deciding to pursue his studies in medicine. He attended the China Medical University in Shenyang City Liaoning Province People’s Republic of China where he graduated in 2016 attaining his degree in medicine and surgery (MBBS). He worked at PMH up till 2019 until he went on to further his studies. He did his residency and training in Anesthesia at the same university and graduated in 2022 with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Anesthesiology. He is specialized in administration of general anesthesia for major surgeries, sedation for ambulatory procedures, spinal and epidural anesthesia, critical care and pain management. Also specialized in preoperative patient care and management, routine and general health management.
He returned home in 2022 and is currently employed at DCFH as an anesthesiologist for 2 years where his is expected to provide a variety of medical care on an individual patient level. He also provides epidurals and pain management. He is a co-owner of AnesCare Medical Services.
In his leisure time he enjoys gardening and farming, swimming and playing basketball. He also enjoys reading and furthering his knowledge, understanding and application of medicine. His focus as a doctor is to provide the best health care for every patient who comes under his care.
